Jewelry Making With Metal Clay - not currrrently offered

Craft Enrichment is currently in maintenance.
Learn how to make beautiful jewelry using Metal Clay. Metal Clay is a new art material made of metal powder and an organic binder. It feels like putty and works like clay. Once shaped and dried, it’s fired in a kiln. Once fired, only the metal remains. Students will begin working with copper and progress to silver. You will learn to form objects by rolling, stamping, texturing, molding and cutting. You will also learn the properties of metal clay and explore a variety of embellishing and finishing techniques for your wearable artwork. Metal clay is an exciting and fun material that allows beginners to achieve very professional results. No experience is necessary. Intermediate students may work on projects of their choice with guidance from the instructor.

Fee includes one 30- gram package of CopprClay© and one 25-gram package of PMC3© silver clay and use of an extensive selection of tools, texturing materials and finishing and polishing materials. Additional silver clay can be purchased in class..
